Ground APPLICATION

Some of what we offer for ground sprayer operations.

Calibration.
A complete check of the spray equipment components and their suitability to the type of application, application volume, type of nozzle, pressure and the capacity of the system components with regards to the speed, pressure and flowrate.

• Calibration of the sprayer, including certificate, to comply with GLOBALG.A.P.
• Training class for the operators on calibration procedures, use of the equipment, and analysis of any issues found during the calibration.
• Written report.

Comply with your certification requirements for periodic calibration by an independent expert. Nobody does it so thoroughly. Not getting the uniformity you need in your applications? It may be the size of the pump or even the size of the hoses, we measure all the parameters in order to make a complete diagnosis.
Equipment Selection
We work with you and the manufacturers to find the best equipment and technology for your application.
Nozzle selection
Floodjet, flat fan, cone, hollow cone, rotary, air injection, electrostatic, twin fluid. The most appropriate atomizer should be selected for each application considering the product to be applied, the physical characteristics of the target plant (dimensions, surface texture and location) and label requirements. We can help you select the right atomizer and we can do comparison trials to show which is the best for your application.
Application Uniformity
Uniformity of application is measured along the sprayer track where speed has to be matched to flowrate and it is also measured across the swath width below the boom.
Equipment maintenance
Because our calibration procedure is so thorough we can tell you where to make changes to your equipment maintenance.
Ethylene Systems
Forcing pineapple by ethylene gas requires extra equipment that needs to be operated correctly to be safe. Don’t just assume your operator knows how to operate it! We do safety checks, calibrations and training classes for ethylene gas systems.
Coverage Trials
We use fluorescent tracers to show where the spray covers the target crop. This allows us to visualize the coverage and also we can measure the amount deposited at specific places by taking samples of the crop surface and measuring the tracer with a fluorometer. For example, we can measure the amount of deposit on a pineapple crown, the top, middle or bottom portion of the fruit to see how effective the application may be for insect control or ripening and this is much quicker and cheaper than doing a biological efficacy trial and waiting for the results. It also gives a better understanding of what happens to the droplets during the application process.
