Terry Spray Consulting S.A. was founded in 2006 by Howard Terry as a way to provide information and services to the users of agrochemicals, bridging the gap between research and the end-user.
Howard graduated with degrees in Agricultural Zoology from Newcastle and Bio-Aeronautics from Cranfield and worked first with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food then at Rothamstead Experimental Station before leaving England to work for Dole in Honduras.
These first eleven years were spent doing R&D in agrochemical application and handling before transferring to Costa Rica where he managed a large aerial spray operation with 12 Turbo Thrushes and 2 turbine helicopters. Since 2006 he has worked independently and now has over 25 years of professional experience.
He is particularly interested in finding practical solutions for the operators of agrochemical handling and spray equipment and his work takes him to North, Central and South America, the Caribbean, West Africa, Europe, East Asia and Australia for a variety of clients which include:
• Aerial spray companies.
• Fruit producers (banana, pineapple, apple, pear, grape, citrus).
• Rice farmers.
• Sugar plantations.
• Aerial spray equipment manufacturers.
• Ground spray equipment manufacturers.
• Agrochemical and adjuvant manufacturers and distributors.
• Governments.
• Trade associations.
• Universities.
